Jesusisms vs. Bushisms

Remarkable Parallels between the Sayings of Jesus
and the Words of the 43rd President

Jesus: As the Father hath loved me, I also have loved you Bush: God loves you, and I love you. And you can count on both of us.

Jesus comforts a widow who lost her only son: Do not weep... Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. Bush comforts a widow whose anniversary was 9/11: Oh, that's terrible. You got the double whammy.

Jesus: And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. Bush: See, in my line of work you got to keep repeating things over and over and over again for the truth to sink in, to kind of catapult the propaganda.

Jesus: Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Bush: First, let me make it very clear, poor people aren't necessarily killers.

Jesus: Love your enemies. Do good to them that hate you. Bush: Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we.

Jesus: Take heed lest any man deceive you. Bush: Fool me once, shame on - shame on you. Fool me - you can't get fooled again.

Jesus: To him that striketh thee on the one cheek, offer also the other. Bush: My answer is bring them on.
